Sonu was the star of Gujarat Giants' first two wins in PKL Season 19 against Telugu Titans in the first two matches and Bengaluru Bulls in the second. By Tuesday he was back in his element.

However, U Mumba took a 12-10 lead in the 11th minute thanks to a brilliant interception by Mahinder Singh. Their lead quickly grew to six points when Sono was pinned in a do-or-die raid and Goman escaped with another raid point.
Mumba looked to have taken an easy lead in the second half but captain Fazal Atrachali created two moments of magic with five minutes remaining. He first tackled opposing captain Surinder Singh before making a super tackle to get the Giants back into the game with a 16-18 victory.
Sonu's first point of the raid early in the second half gave the Giants the equalizer. He was unstoppable as he scored two important points – Rinku Singh and Mahinder – and reduced Yo Mumba to one on the mat.
On the next attack, U Mumba gave it all and the Giants took a 23-19 lead. Thanks to Sonwoo's superb attack, supported by a solid defense, the Giants led 30-22 after 30 minutes.
Ghumane scored three points in a row as Iranian all-rounders Amir Mohammad Zafardanesh and Prannoy Rani U took Mumbai to within an impressive 30-34. Giavardanis was in good form again with less than two minutes left in the match, slipping past Atrashali and Manoj to score and bring his team back into parity.
But Sonoi had the last laugh when he hit a stunning Super Raid triple in the final minutes of the game, leading the Giants to their third straight victory and, in doing so, bringing their third Super Raid title to 10 trot.
