New music is coming from FKA Twigs and she's happier than ever.
Twigs, 36, took to the Discord server on Tuesday, January 16 to celebrate her birthday and chat with her fans. During the conversation, he revealed that he's in the studio working with electronic musician (and frequent collaborator) Corellus on his upcoming album. Twigs has revealed that more "talented friends" will be part of her next LP "due out this year".
"I moved to Prague two summers ago and fell in love with techno," he told NME. His next album is "not techno, but the soul is really there," he said.
Twigs lightened the tone of the album more than their previous music. "It's deep, but not sad," he said. - I'm not sad anymore.
The album will be Twigs' follow-up to 2022's Caprisongs. She says her previous release was "difficult to work on" and the next project will be even less so. "I don't like to repeat myself," he wrote.
When asked what music she's been working on lately, Twigs said, "I'm finishing my album, I'm busy right now, so I haven't been listening to much music." However, he added, "I like two shells."
Twigs' talk about her future music comes amid controversy surrounding her March 2023 Calvin Klein ad. The UK's Advertising Standards Authority announced on January 10 that the ad was banned because it depicted a "stereotypical sexual object" and that the image was "potentially offensive". ".
