OnePlus Open is about to make its global debut. A few hours ago, the company confirmed that the phone will launch soon, and now we have access to official leaked images and the likely price of the device in the US.
According to WinFuture's Roland Quandt, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered OnePlus Open will cost $1,699. That's well above the previous estimated price of $1,450, but still below the $1,800 prices of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Google Pixel Fold. Hopefully their first foldable phone will be an attractive proposition for buyers by charging $100 less than Samsung and Google.
The leak suggests that the OnePlus Open will also launch in Europe, aside from Germany. However, the European price of the phone has been kept under wraps for now.
Apart from the top-of-the-line Snapdragon SoC, the OnePlus Open is expected to feature a 7.8-inch foldable OLED display on the inside and a 6.31-inch OLED panel on the outside. One of the key components is expected to be the phone's camera settings. Tuned by Hasselblad, the OnePlus Open features a dual camera setup with 48MP for wide and ultra-wide photography and a 64MP telephoto lens for zooming.
This latest mobile phone is expected to come with 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. There may be other storage layers, but we don't have information about them yet
A 4,800mAh battery can power the pack with 67W fast charging. No word yet on wireless charging, but we can't rule it out until the phone arrives.
According to a previous leak, the OnePlus Open, which is now confirmed to be the same phone as the OPPO Find N3, will launch in the US on October 19. However, we are still waiting for an official confirmation from OnePlus about the launch date. .
