Samsung Drops New Galaxy Book4 Lineup Ahead Of Unpacked Event

They use the new Intel Core Ultra processor to get the most out of artificial intelligence

Now, Samsung fans can join in on the Intel-based AI fun.

Following Thursday's announcement of Intel Core Ultra processors and ahead of Samsung Unpacked 2024, the company unveiled a new line of Galaxy Book PCs designed specifically for artificial intelligence.

The Galaxy Book4 series includes three new devices: Book4 Ultra, Book4 Pro and Book4 Pro 360. The new notebooks feature Intel Core Ultra 9 processors designed to bring AI to the fore, so Galaxy Book owners can take advantage of new artificial intelligence technology. Software without sacrificing the usual quality and battery life.

"The Galaxy Book4 series plays an important role in bringing the best of connectivity to our ecosystem, improving how people interact with PCs, phones, tablets and other devices for a truly intelligent and connected experience," said TM Roh, President and CEO. Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience Business announced the new laptops in a press release.

The Galaxy Book4 Ultra is an expanded 16-inch laptop with Windows Home 11 operating system, Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU in 6GB or 8GB options, Wi-Fi 6E, 512GB/1TB/2TB SSD options and an SSD slot.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro comes in 14- or 16-inch sizes, but only has an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processor, Intel Arc GPU, and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options with an expansion slot.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is also a 16-inch device that comes with an Intel Core Ulta 5 or 7 processor and an Intel Arc GPU, but it only has a 512GB/1TB storage option and no expansion slot.

All notebooks have touchscreen capabilities and 2MP cameras, but only the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is equipped with Samsung's S Pen. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra is the only device among the three to feature fast charging, which increases battery life by around 55 percent with a 30-minute charge using a 140W adapter under very specific conditions. However, Samsung claims that the new cooling system design "allows your device to run longer on a single charge thanks to high energy efficiency."

Finally, the display uses traditional Samsung quality, a 2X dynamic AMOLED display, Vision Booster, a smart exterior algorithm that uses anti-glare technology to improve visibility in bright light conditions.

The Galaxy Book4 series will go on sale in Korea from January 2024, and the press release states that the products will be "gradually available in select markets". It is not known which markets they will be in and when they will be available for sale.
