Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 vs OPPO Find N2. design

Both phones are made of metal and glass. To be fair, the Find N2 also comes in a veggie leather version, which is the model we tested. However, both are different types of wrinkles. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a horizontally foldable device, while the Find N2 is a vertically foldable phone. Both have a box-like structure with flat sides.

Both phones have curved edges and feel very different in the hand. The OPPO Find N2 is significantly heavier at 233/237 grams (depending on the variant) than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at 187 grams. That's not surprising considering it's a different kind of foldable phone with more screen and battery. When unfolded, the Find N2 is significantly shorter, wider and slightly thicker than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. When folded, the Find N2 is significantly longer, slightly wider and thinner than the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has two rear cameras, while the Find N2 has three cameras. The design of the reverse camera module is also different. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes directly on the back of the phone and is not part of the larger camera module. The main screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is smaller than the main screen of the Find N2, while the deck screen is much smaller than the secondary panel of the Find N2. The two phones look and feel very different in the hand. The Find N2 feels a lot heavier, but both feel like premium devices.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a 6.7-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X FullHD+ (2640 x 1080) main display. It's a 120Hz panel and supports HDR10+ content. This display also reaches up to 1200 nits of brightness. The foldable display of this phone is 1.9 inches wide and offers a resolution of 260 x 512. It is a Super AMOLED panel protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. It has a 60Hz refresh rate.

In contrast, the OPPO Find N2 has a 7.1-inch FullHD+ (1792 x 1920) AMOLED LTPO main display that can be folded. It's a 120Hz panel and supports HDR10+ content. It reaches a peak brightness of up to 1550 nits. The phone's secondary screen measures 5.54 inches and is a FullHD+ (2120 x 1080) panel. It's protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and offers a 120Hz refresh rate up to 1350 nits at peak brightness. Both Find N2 screens offer a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.

However, the home screen looks great on both phones. They are quite sharp and offer excellent viewing angles. The colors are bright and deep black. The point is that the main panel of the Find N2 looks brighter, while there are also less noticeable creases. It also offers a higher sampling rate, which is noticeable. The Galaxy Z Flip 4's flip screen beats the Find N2's secondary panel. Sharper, offering a much higher refresh rate, much sharper, and more. Of course, these two screens are clearly not meant to be used in the same way. Overall, the Find N2 excels in the display department.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 vs OPPO Find N2. perform

Both phones are powered by very powerful SoCs, some of the best mobile chips in recent years. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is used in both phones. Not only is this processor very powerful, it also consumes a lot of power and is not even as hot as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It shows what it can do on almost every phone I've used, at least the ones we've used. I used it. is used and the same applies to these two devices.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 combines this chip with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The Find N2 combines this with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. By the way, we are using a model with 12 GB RAM. However, the performance of both smartphones is very good. They are both resourceful in every way. This applies to normal daily use of opening/closing apps, taking photos, surfing the web, editing images, editing videos, etc. The same goes for gaming, as both were able to run almost everything we tried without issue.

One thing to note is that the Find N2 comes with Chinese software. You need to download Google Play services by installing Google Play Store APK. After doing that, everything works fine, although there are some limitations with this software regarding background apps and the like. In terms of performance and stability, both are very good.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 vs OPPO Find N2. battery

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a 3,700 mAh battery, while the Find N2 has a 4,520 mAh battery. The Find N2 obviously has a bigger battery as both have a bigger screen. The secondary screen is actually much larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4's enclosure. Battery life is actually pretty good for both phones, so nothing to worry about. At least it's good for us.

We managed to push the Galaxy Z Flip 4 continuously for the past 7 hours. The Find N2 actually did a little better, breaking 8 hours a few times, but also consistently breaking the 7 hour mark. Your mileage may vary, but there are many factors to consider here. Depending on what apps you use, what your signal strength is, what screen you use the most, whether you play games or not, etc. By the way, we rarely play games with this device. We do this for verification purposes only, so keep that in mind.

Well, as far as charging goes, things are pretty good. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 supports 25W wired charging, 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse charging. The Find N2 offers 67W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. The Find N2 charges much faster, but the phone doesn't offer wireless charging. What it does offer is a charging brick in the box, which we can't say about the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 vs OPPO Find N2. Camera

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has two cameras on the back, a 12-megapixel wide-angle main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. In contrast, the OPPO Find N2 has a 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. Both phones do a good job of taking photos and videos, but there are some differences.

The Find N2 is generally more color accurate than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, this is why many prefer the Galaxy Z Flip 4's photos. They often come out too full and sometimes too full. Both phones offer plenty of detail in daytime shots, but the Find N2 steals the show in night shots. There are simply more detailed recordings with less noise.

The OPPO Find N2 also nails the HDR scene, but the Galaxy Z Flip 4 isn't bad in this regard either. The Find N2 sometimes tends to fade blacks in low light, though not often. The Find N2's ultra-wide camera performed better overall, but had a narrower field of view than the Flip 4's. The Find N2's telephoto lens was rarely used. The main camera is much better, while the telephoto camera only offers 2x optical zoom. Video recording is good on both phones, but not the best.

audios

Both phones are equipped with a set of stereo speakers. Both sets are very good, although the Find N2 is superior, much superior in fact. However, the speakers on both phones are well balanced and perform well even with bass-heavy titles. We don't have any major complaints about the speakerphone audio output, both phones performed well.

What you won't find here are audio jacks for both devices. You can always use the Type-C port for wired audio connections. Otherwise, both phones are equipped with Bluetooth. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers Bluetooth 5.2, while the OPPO Find N2 comes with Bluetooth 5.3 support.
