OPPO Find X6 Series Will Get 4 Major Android Updates
OPPO Find X6 and Find X6 Pro were presented yesterday at the OPPO press event. We've covered both phones on the site, and we're here to learn more about the support OPPO offers. The company has announced that the OPPO Find X6 series will receive 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates.

With the OnePlus 11, OPPO seems to match what OnePlus has put on the table. This is obviously nice to see as it leads to longer hardware life. They are famous phones after all, all the more reason to offer this support.
This puts OnePlus and OPPO on par with Samsung and Google when it comes to updates. Note that the Find X6 series was only launched in China, so this applies to the Chinese market.
There is still the possibility that OPPO decides to launch the devices in global markets. In this case, global users get the same support. OPPO didn't intend to when we spoke to them a while back, so… we'll have to wait and see.
Whether we'll make these devices available outside of China remains to be seen.
OPPO OnePlus 11 is likely to be the phone that will take the brand out of China, even though technically these companies are different. Both OPPO and OnePlus are owned by BBK Electronics and offer very similar software offerings under different names. The OxygenOS and ColorOS software teams merged some time ago.
However, OPPO Find X6 and Find X6 Pro are two devices in disguise, but the "Pro" model stands out. It has three very capable rear cameras, led by a 1-inch main camera sensor. The Hasselblad experience is also part of the package.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while packing up to 16GB of RAM. 100W charging is supported and the charger is included. The phone also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
