Oppo Find N3 Flip Review | Scores On Design And Usability
Oppo introduces a new member of the N series – the new Find N3 Flip. If the N2 Flip is successful, the N3 Flip will come with a more usable screen. The phone also has three cameras on the back, including a telephoto lens. Additionally, the N series benefits from IPX4 protection for the first time.
design
The Find N3 Flip benefits from major design updates compared to its predecessor, especially when it comes to the camera module. Unlike the Find N2, the Find N3 features a circular triple-sensor camera setup similar to the Hasselblad design found on the OnePlus 11. However, this camera module protrudes slightly, so it vibrates when the phone is placed on a surface and does so with a single camera. hand. difficult operation with cover screen.

The Find N3 Flip displays undeniable elegance with its glass back and metal frame, and comes in black and cream. The curved design feels comfortable in the hand, but the glass surface, while smudge-resistant, can be very slippery, meaning there's a risk of accidental drops despite Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone's button layout includes an alarm slider on the left side, making switching modes convenient.
Display
The Find N3 Flip has a 3.26-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 382, and inside is a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a crisp resolution of 2520 x 1080 (Subscribe to our tech newsletter, Today's Cache, to get the day's most important tech news

The title screen supports more than 40 popular apps like Google Maps, WhatsApp, Twitter and others, and works well, without distortion or black bars. For a touch of magic, it also has a full QWERTY keyboard and interactive pet backgrounds. The user experience of the N3 Flip Flip Cover is relatively better than the Flip5 in terms of ease of use.

Notifications are easy to access, and there's an intuitive app drawer for quick access to certain applets. However, due to the narrowness of the vertical screen, some elements, including expanded text, may appear smaller. It's ideal for tasks like messaging, browsing, and streaming music.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, the Find N3 Flip's inner screen has a nearly invisible crease thanks to the "Flexion" hinge, which provides multiple viewing angles for video calls, content consumption and selfies.

The built-in display supports refresh rates up to 120Hz and offers PWM dimming at a rate of 1440Hz. The screen displays bright colors and offers different screen color modes, including Cinema mode for accurate color reproduction. With a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, the screen remains easy to read even in direct sunlight and supports HDR10+ for a better content viewing experience on platforms like YouTube and Netflix.
The OPPO Find N3 FlipOperating System
uses the ColorOS 13 operating system based on Android 13 to provide stability and customization options. It offers features like split screen, flexible application windows, and an easy-to-use smart sidebar. The title screen adds an animated background of virtual animals for a fun touch.
However, some pre-installed apps may not be suitable for everyone. For some users, App Market may seem useless and unwanted notifications from apps like Hot Apps and Hot Games can be annoying, but you can turn them off in Settings.
The Find N3 Flipprocessor
is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset which is able to handle various tasks and applications easily. Combined with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB USF 4.0 storage, this phone delivers smooth performance for everyday use. However, we would like to see the latest Snapdragon Gen 2 processor. When it comes to gaming, the phone performs well, handling games like BGMI at the highest settings and at a stable frame rate.
The Find N3 Flip's camera
has an excellent sensor for a compact device. There's a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, a 48 MP Sony IMX582 ultra-wide sensor, and a 32 MP Sony IMX709 portrait camera that doubles as a telephoto lens.
While this sensor is smaller than some foldable devices, it works well. The main camera shines in a variety of lighting conditions and offers excellent dynamic range, detailed shooting and vibrant colors. Default settings produce shareable images for social media. There may be a bit of color fringing when taking close-up photos, but this is a minor issue as 2x telephoto photography ensures amazing color consistency.
While portrait is generally satisfactory for everyday use, it may require some adjustments. There's a bit of softness and slightly imprecise edge detection. However, for most users, portrait is easier to use and dual portrait has a unique appeal.
The ultra-wide-angle lens captures images with minimal distortion, lots of detail, and vibrant colors. An increase in dynamic range would be a nice addition. And with the ultra-wide sensor, you can also take close-up photos, and the results are eye-catching and detailed.
Photos taken at night retain good detail. The lens adapts to lighting conditions and produces images with proper shadows and dynamic range.
For selfies, the Find N3 Flip is equipped with a 32MP camera with a punch-hole on the interior display. While it produces great selfies, there's little reason to use this lens. For more detailed selfies, using the main camera via Cover Display is a better choice for better results.
Battery
The new Find N3 Flip is powered by a 4,300mAh battery, larger than the one we saw on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. With moderate use, the phone lasted a day very comfortably. The phone supports 44W SuperVOOC charging, making it one of the fastest charging options among foldable phones. The battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in about an hour, which is an impressive feat. However, it is important to note that wireless charging is not supported.
Bottom line:
The new Find N3 Flip is one of the best foldable phones on the market in terms of overall design and ease of use. It has a tangle-free internal display, versatile rear camera sensors, long-lasting battery life, and a more functional cover screen giving it an edge over the competition, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. However, a cleaner, bloatware-free wireless charging experience would add to the fun of the Flip N3.
