If you've ever played a mobile game and thought "it's better with a mouse and keyboard," Google has good news for you.

Starting Wednesday, Android users in the US will be able to download and play some Android games on Windows PCs, according to a Google blog post. The feature (still in beta) was available earlier this year in places like Hong Kong and Korea, but now in the US, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brazil. And even though it's beta, it's open beta, so anyone can jump in and try it out.

According to the Google Play Games website, all you need is a Windows 10 PC with 8GB of RAM, 10GB of storage on an SSD, and a "comparable" Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU. Simply visit this website and click the big green "Get Beta" button to download and launch the client. Popular games like Arknights , Asphalt 9 Legends and Just Dance Now are available to play on PC.

Most importantly, games will save progress across all devices. Then you can sign in to your Google account and play something on your computer, then pick up your phone and pick up where you left off. (It would be a shame if it wasn't , so it's good that Google thought about that part.)

Yes, you can use a mouse and keyboard to control these games, which old-school PC gamers will definitely have more fun with than a touchscreen.

This beta feature looks like an extension of the holy alliance formed between Microsoft and Google in 2021. It started with the ability to download Android apps like TikTok on a Windows 11 PC and now extends to Android games on a Microsoft machine. .. See what we can do if we all play nice?

Now, dear reader, get high scores with the finer controls you'll find on your phone.
