Vivo X Fold S Spotted On 3C, Key Details Tipped Ahead Of Launch

Vivo is working on a foldable smartphone called Vivo X Fold S. Before its release, the smartphone appeared on the Chinese 3C certification. According to 3C verification, Vivo X Fold S has model number V2229A. Supports 80W Type-C dual-port GaN flash charging. This will be an upgrade to the existing 66W Vivo X Fold fast charging. The X Fold S will have a 2K resolution main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports LTPO. The screen doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This will again be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 predecessor.

In terms of camera, the X Fold S offers a 50MP primary camera. The device was previously reported to feature a quad camera setup with a 50MP main lens, a 48MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto lens and an 8MP periscope lens. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Vivo X Fold S looks like a gradual upgrade over the X Fold. This foldable phone has better processor, slightly bigger battery and better fast charging feature. It may not make a big difference in terms of design.

It should be noted that Vivo has not confirmed these details. However, we will soon see the phone's debut in its home country of China. It is not yet known whether this phone will enter the international market or not.
