Milan Fashion Week will open in 2024 with the participation of menswear brands and billionaires. With just three days left in the week, he's already wowed the fashion world with structured knits, coats and an arsenal of celebrities descending on the Italian city to showcase his Autumn/Winter 2024 collection.
Gucci kicked off the week with trendy monogram bags, matching dresses and a nod to the brand's past, with leather jackets, work shirts or patterned sweaters.
Meanwhile, Dsquared2 showcased its glitzy show, rock star style and oversized hunting hats, as well as conservative knitwear, leather jackets and jeans.
One of the highlights of fashion week is the unveiling of new brands. One of the new brands is ViaPiave33, founded by brothers Francesca and Alessandro Spaggieri together with Elisa Betella. It's inspired by a philosophy of understated luxury with a twist of sustainability (many of their pieces are made from organic animal carcasses). The brand offers minimalist outerwear, sports and knitwear, as well as home decor and skin care.
Meanwhile, Stone Island premiered a subtly Berlin-inspired metallic jacket collection set to techno in a massive Milanese warehouse. Their logo is beautiful, a cross in the shape of the North Star surrounded by a circle with their brand name at the top. It's written on a black rectangular label that adorns their metallic silver pants and reflects the spirit of adventure and wanderlust.
MSGM founder Massimo Giorgetti presented his new collection at the metro station (Porta Venezia stop). The collection pays tribute to Milanese urban design hero Franco Albini, who designed Milan's M1 metro line, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. A collection of rich reds with abstract shapes reminiscent of the modular form of Milan's metro.
The JordanLuca brand features cropped sweaters, oversized sweaters and a fusion of British and Italian style and culture, as the brand was co-founded by British designer Jordan Bowen and Italian Luca Marchetto. The starting point of the collection was the balloons that were suspended over the display seat, creating a festive atmosphere.
Fendi's collection was elegant and timeless as the new collection included knit vests, fleeces and capes, giving a modern twist to classic tailoring. The show's front row featured guests such as Marco Mengoni, Winston Duke and Kit Harington.
There were a lot of celebrities, especially K-pop stars. Gucci's front row is always impressive: Idris Elba, Marc Fournet, Maiao, George Burnett, Nicolai von Bismarck, Clément Chabarno and others.
Jeff Bezos was spotted with his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez at the Dolce & Gabbana party and K-pop singer Taehl at the K-way fashion show.
Several shows featured various guest acts, including Aespa singers Karina, Vin Metavin, IU, Jay Park and Gulf Kanabut among others, attracting fans outside the show.
The best Milanese street style right now includes long plaid coats, puffer jackets and trendy sweaters. And as always when it comes to street style, they seemed to be the only ones to stand out. Take a look below to see more street looks from Milan.
