Wait, is that Minecraft?! Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but what you see is still Minecraft. Daft_Vader's incredible Tooniverse texture pack will make you feel like you're playing an entirely new game, but it still includes all the Minecraft elements you know and love with a new face. Literally. Look at the beautiful sun in the header image above. Gentle clouds (no shaders!), rainbows and googly eyes add a lot of fun to this texture pack, and it works best without shaders so it doesn't put too much strain on your system.

If you're looking for slightly lower resolution textures, you're in luck, as there are four separate Tooniverse downloads to suit your needs. You can support Daft_Vader by purchasing the 64x, 128x or 256x packages or the full package. However, if you'd rather try it out for free, the Busy Bee x32 pack offers a fantastic experience while providing a more classic Minecraft experience. esthetic

It's hard to know where to start with one of our favorite Minecraft texture packs: Better Vanilla Building. Have biome-specific mobs been changed, including the new cute pigs, pastel cows, and coral skeletons you see above? Finely detailed vanilla textures like bushy plants or flowering trees? Or can I connect textures from the package?

Yes, with this vanilla pack installed, you can simply enjoy the modified textures as they are around you, or you can combine different textures to create a completely new one, such as: E.g. multi-colored red stone lamps or clay walls with gold edges. True to its name, Stay True stays true to the original vanilla textures while maintaining a similar color palette, crowd design, and blocky finishes. However, modifications are ideal for those who don't want to stray too far from the original and still see a noticeable difference. Look at those thick tree leaves, the details of those flowers, and the brown birch leaves. You can also darken the thick leaves if you want the shade to be even closer to vanilla.

RetroNES

Latest version: 1.20

We're going back in time with this Minecraft texture pack - it's one of the coolest retro resource packs on the NES, lovingly designed with an old-fashioned color palette and chunky black outlines that make you feel like you're right there. into the world of Mario. The original artist stopped working on it a while ago, but luckily it was recently revived and updated to version 1.19. However, if you want the retro sound pack to go with it, you'll have to stick with version 1.8.

Jiklus

Latest version: 1.20

At first glance, the Jicplus texture pack doesn't look much different than the standard Minecraft look: everything looks a little warmer, but something is off. Upon closer inspection, you will notice subtle details such as: B. Crowds of skinned people, detailed tree branches, and the different pumpkin colors shown above. There is also a stylish quickbar and a different font that is reminiscent of the gameplay style of fantasy RPGs. The mines are brighter, the lava is brighter and all of this is reflected on the ground, including Down and End. If you want your Minecraft farm to look a little different, be it agricultural or pastoral, then here's a nice texture pack that will add a little more life .

With an old-school style menu and a font similar to the aforementioned Jicplus, Mythic is another great texture pack for a dark fantasy setting. What's more striking, however, is what it does; Everywhere there is a clear difference from vanilla Minecraft. As you can see in the image above, the main change to Mythic difficulty is the monsters you encounter along the way, making them a little... more challenging. Its 32x resolution means it has twice as much detail - we have to say, these are some very nice leaves and just look at that thick bamboo. These new but natural elements are being added all over the world, in lush caves and even deep underground.

Add a touch of color to your Minecraft worlds. Bloom, Bright and Retro is a fantastic resource pack that takes your textures up to 11 in old-school, high-contrast Nintendo style. There is also an expansion that allows you to wield Zelda's master sword so you can save the kingdom like the hero you were born to be.

Jolycraft

Latest version: 1.17.

Jolicraft has been one of Minecraft's most popular texture packs for years, and it's easy to see why: the "enchanting texture pack" has tons of charm. Many Minecraft texture packs have a theme, but the Joli pack is all about self-expression.

It's the kind of fantasy world that best reflects his happy attitude: a round sun is significantly happier than a normal square sun. The color scheme is completely different, so you might prefer vanilla green in Minecraft, but you won't get along with a nice dirty pig.

Annastas Beastrinia

Annahstas Beastrnia is a Minecraft resource pack designed to emulate the Minecraft Pokémon/Pixelmon aesthetic. Its texture is very detailed thanks to its 32x resolution and its color palette is soft, with an emphasis on less saturated colors. Every library also has Pokeballs.

How to install Minecraft texture packs

Not sure how to download and install one of these new texture packs? No worries; We can help you. Since the introduction of Minecraft, it has become much easier to install Minecraft texture packs and get started without much hassle.

How to download and install texture packs for Minecraft:

  • Download the texture pack you want.
  • Open the Minecraft launcher.
  • Make sure you select the latest stable version of Minecraft Java (and not one of the beta versions of Minecraft called “Snapshots”).
  • Click here to play Minecraft.
  • From the main menu, select Options.
  • Then go to the resource packs.
  • Now click on “Open package folder”.
  • Place the downloaded texture packs in a folder. This works in a ZIP file or in unzipped form.
  • Select a game by dragging it to the right column.
  • Arrange the downloadable add-ons in the correct order, then click Finish.

Not all texture packs work in the latest Minecraft Java Edition, but you can check the latest supported version on the corresponding download page. If you want to use some of the best texture packs, you'll need to downgrade your version of Minecraft, which you can easily do from the launcher. For heavily modded games, we usually have several older versions of Minecraft installed; I hope this isn't an overload of equipment.
