The FAU Owls' journey continues as they take on the Va Tech Hokies on November 26 at 1:00 p.m. Both teams entered the tournament having won their previous matches.
Even though Texas A&M scored 89 points on Friday, FAU still came out on top. The Owls beat the Aggies 96-89. It's a little easier to win if you team up and make ten more passes than your opponent, like FAU did.
FAU's victory was the result of superb offensive performance. One of the standouts was Jonelle Davis, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc with 26 points and 3 assists. The team received help from Elijah Martin, who scored 25 points with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Virginia. Tech, riding a four-game winning streak (during which they've outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), entered Friday's game motivated and came out even more motivated. They beat the Hurricanes 71-62.
Va Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shane Bedulla led the team with 17 points and six assists. Adani Kator, who scored 18 points, also stood out.
The victory saw them beat Oltz 4-1 and Agios 5-1.
