Mystical, heavy and emotional sounds, fun and piercing synthesizers, memorable high lines and groove. These are a few words that describe Khira Lee's music.
Formally known as Khira Lee Lindemann, the artist creates carefully selected melodies with a variety of textures. Today, November 2, Lindemann continues Don Diablo's signature sound with the release of "Saint" on his HEXAGON label.
“Holy” features floor-to-ceiling beats, powerful techno designed to dominate the dance floor, hypnotic vocals, bold melodies, rave-ready sounds, shimmering synths and a sense of sass and girl power . The track is definitely a mix of musical cuisine, creating a masterfully produced and masterfully paced record.
The song is the artist's third release to date. According to Lindemann, his goal in creating this single was to create a ready-made song for the club. At that time, I was thinking about who he is as an artist and what his performances are like. According to him, although he is extremely sensitive and anxious on stage, he is also very close to himself, so his relationship with the audience is difficult.
“I read energies and I want to channel people, but at the same time I have to disconnect so as not to be afraid of the situation,” she says. “I always feel a little distant, but at the same time very connected.”
The artist who painted "You are Reason" then saw a saint, whom he described as an isolated figure giving and receiving energy. This sparked his creativity for the song, as well as a meditative experience that made him feel like he was floating around the studio. The meditation enthusiast adds that his writings are often inspired by his spiritual experience, which gave him pure energies before suddenly transforming into high vibrations. He also said that he felt connected to the idea that everything that appears repeatedly in texts that say "crazy" are like saints.
“My experience with meditation definitely applies to this song,” says Lindemann. "I also realized that I was completely attached to myself. Details are a great tool. I go into meditation, I go deeper into myself, and then I research it. "I'm very lucky to be able to use this as a tool at this point in my life."
“Sacred” also includes a sample of Linkin Park’s “Paper Cut.” He uses a record box, including childhood music, to "create something old [and] new." Len Faki's song "Death By House" was also an inspiration, as he used a similar synthesizer in his song. He was inspired by club life as a teenager when he visited the legendary Berghain nightclub in Berlin, where Faki lived.
Lindemann is the son of Rammstein founder and guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe. He says he spent half his childhood in his father's studio, where he learned how to start a song, gather ideas and finish it. His lead roles were first recorded when he was just four years old, and his voice appears on the song "Spieluhr" from Rammstein's album Mutter . He describes music as "a part of me", but never thought he would pursue this path because "my father was always very successful".
The tech pioneer claims to have gained experience in various fields throughout his life. However, he was always in the studio making music with his friends and family, but it was just for fun. Lindemann then realized that it was more than just a hobby and encouraged him to start the Khira Li project. He later realized that he had to create his own brand because sometimes he couldn't find the songs he was looking for while playing at the table. So he entered the world of production to “create the sound and style that I wanted to create around me”.
His father was a musician, so the best advice he gave him regarding sound creation was: “If you want to get rich, don't make music. “If you want to succeed, don’t do music.” The sound engineer says his critically acclaimed father always taught him to "only make [music] when it's necessary." Lindemann added that Kruspe was strict with him and taught him discipline, but also helped him with his studies and his true passion. For example, when the founder and lead guitarist of Rammstein saw the potential in musical equipment, he donated it, but he had to work hard to become independent and achieve his goals.

As for his works, those of Khira Lee talk about the time it takes to make beats. “Holy” is the “Your Fantasy” singer’s third song, but he plans to release more albums. Lindemann says one of his upcoming albums, "Whisper," is faster and darker than his previous material. He added that the next song "happened organically, without questioning anything, [doing] what I wanted and felt".
The techno master's introduction to dance music began when he heard the song "Insomnia" by Faithless. This song, like other Faithless albums, is played in many DJ sets today, proving that he had an impressive ear for music at the age of five.
“[‘Insomnia’] was something cold, dark, but also very powerful,” Lindemann said. “I remember being very young and being a bit scared of that age to be honest. But it was attractive. He admired him and [his] punk rhythm. [It] gave me a tingling feeling up my spine, like, "Oh, yeah, I want to do something." I want to go out and see the world.”
For many years, Lindemann didn't know what he was dreaming about, even though as a child he would dance in his room, listen to music, and imagine himself in front of a crowd. She says she's not a singer, musician, or dancer, so she doesn't know what the images mean. He later found out the DJ was working.
Born and living in Berlin, the artist has now made his dream come true by “running in the studio”, creating songs and bringing his voice to the stage. Lindemann also masters the art of being honest and sincere during his performances and production. Looking back at the beginning of his career, he said to himself: “You deserve everything you do. »
Although Lindemann is still early in his career, he promises to make a name for himself in the contemporary dance music scene. Keep an eye out for their next releases. I'm sure this will surprise you again.
