The four-day youth summit under the auspices of the G-20 concluded on Sunday at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Center (RICCC). More than 100 young people from G20 countries, host countries and international organizations participated in the draft discussion of the Y20 Communication. In particular, they participated in discussions and negotiations on the five issues defined for the 20th year, including the future of work; peace building and reconciliation; climate change and disaster risk reduction; shared future and health, well-being and sport.

The Y20 Summit was inaugurated on the second day by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which was also attended by Union Youth and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. This event is an important event that provides youth a platform for open discussions, ideas and interactive sessions to address the challenges faced by youth and chart a roadmap for global youth development.

India assumed the presidency of the G20 on December 1, 2022 for a one-year term ending on November 30 this year. As part of the G20 presidency, the youth wing of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Government of India organized the Y20 summit in this holy city, which is also in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency.

Y20 has set a new milestone for the world under the presidency of India in the overall framework of G20. At the summit, the Y20 communique was discussed and negotiated, and then successfully signed with global consensus.

They shared that the main recommendations of the communiqué were to promote continuous learning; prepare a global workforce for challenges; Strengthening international research collaboration; Protect the universal rights of gig economy workers and invest in affordable and sustainable funding and support.

Sharad Vivek Sagar, Anmol Sovit, Pathikrit Payne, Falit Sijaria and Aditi Narayani Paswan chaired the plenary on the last day. The Y20-2023 announcement was made by the troika of countries, which includes the Y20 President of India, representatives of the Indonesian Organizing Committee and representatives of the Brazilian Organizing Committee. The flag was officially handed over by the President of Y20 India to the President of the Brazilian delegation.

The results of the summit were presented in the form of the Y20 communiqué signed by the heads of delegation, ending the various discussions that took place in recent months. This is indicative of a shared vision for the five Y20 themes identified, which will ensure that the voices of young people are heard by decision-makers at the highest levels on global platforms.

During the four-day summit, the delegates visited Sarnath, the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple and a river cruise on the Ganga Ghats.
