Vivo V29 Review: MidRanger Phone Excels At Portraits
The high-end Vivo V series is back. we're now in 29th place, and it's once again a surprisingly capable mid-range phone with its own unique trick that no other phone, not even flagship models that cost three times as much, can pull off. offer, will be able to do.
The main selling point of the Vivo V29 is its Aura Light, which is essentially a larger-than-usual flash housed in the main camera module, paired with a 50MP main camera with a relatively large 1/1 image sensor, 56 inches. . Because the flashlight is larger than normal, it can illuminate a larger area and serves as a miniature fill light.
And it really works. Combined with Vivo's advanced imaging software, the V29 can capture stunning selfies even in low-light conditions.
I particularly like the Vivo camera's Vintage filter, which recreates the feel of classic film cameras. Some might find it pretentious, but I really like the way it looks. These photos are much better than I expected from a $450 phone.
Furthermore, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 processor paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. There is a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, to be honest, the processor and display are good but there is nothing that stands out from the rest. This phone is designed for vertical operation.
Below are additional photo and video examples. Overall, I think the V29 justifies its existence, but my opinion on the Vivo V series hasn't changed. I think Vivo is releasing these phones very quickly.
To be clear, I first covered this phone line in 2016 when it was only the V5. In seven years, the V line went from V5 to V29. Is there such a high demand for mid-range phones in the Southeast Asia region that Vivo releases a new phone every 5-6 months? Vivo's medium-term strategy confuses me.
But at least the company doesn't produce substandard products. Vivo V29 is a very powerful mid-range device. What are Vivo's flagship phones? I believe this is one of the best laptops in the industry.
