HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber Smartwatch Comes With An Innovative, Replaceable Case Design
HUAWEI has introduced the HUAWEI Pocket S, the first mid-range foldable smartphone on the market with similar specifications and features as the HUAWEI P50 Pocket foldable smartphone. In addition to the new mid-range model, HUAWEI also introduced an innovative smartwatch called the HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber. The watch comes with a replaceable case and is unlike anything you have seen before.
At first glance, the HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber looks like an ordinary smartwatch, but it's so much more. The watch allows users to replace the outer casing, allowing them to fully customize the look of the design through an innovative mechanism.
As for the smartwatch itself (via HUAWEI and GSMArena ) , it features a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 and 352 ppi (pixels per inch). The watch itself is very light and quite compact, making it perfect for those with both larger and smaller wrists.
HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber They are currently only available in China, and of course the watch runs on the company's HarmonyOS software. The watch is compatible with over 100 sports models and has the latest sensors to help monitor sleep, heart rate, SpO2 tracking, and other fitness and health activities. It has built-in GPS, NFC and Bluetooth to connect to smartphones.
Another advantage of the Watch GT Cyber is that it is not dependent on exotic charging stations and works with any Qi charger. HUAWEI claims that the Watch GT Cyber can last up to four days with heavy use, while moderate users can get around 7 days on a single charge. That's impressive and should convince most users that they won't need a daily charge.
The HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber is priced at RMB 1,288 ($180) for the Sport model, which comes in black and white cases. The model (in blue or white) and the Urban (available in morning yellow or black) will set you back 1,488 RMB (~$210). The smart watch is now available from HUAWEI China and other retailers such as Vmall and JD.
Replaceable case design.
What makes the HUAWEI Watch GT Cyber unique is that the smartwatch itself is separate from the case. This means that the round body can be perfectly adapted to specific and supported situations, providing a unique new look that can change depending on the activities you want to do.
For example, if you're going out for a night out with friends, you might want something more casual, but you might want a durable design for hiking or a lightweight bag for other sports. The possibilities are endless. HUAWEI currently offers three case designs: one for urban areas, one for sporting events, and one for fashion.
Other manufacturers should take note
Most smartwatches allow users to change the watch face, but many have limited capabilities unless it's an Apple Watch or Wear OS 3 Android smartwatch. Although manufacturers have improved over the years, the number of smartwatch options that work with other operating systems is still limited. Users usually only have the option to purchase third-party cases or skins to customize the look of their devices.
HUAWEI's approach to customization is one of the best we've seen so far, offering the best of both worlds. The smart watch has a large library of free watches, and the unique approach to case and case design allows HUAWEI to produce more exclusive cases and allow third-party companies to design their own cases. The possibilities are endless and the round shape of the smartwatch allows users to personalize the experience and make it unique on your shelf.
