  • OnePlus has started rolling out the first OxygenOS 14 update for the OnePlus 11.
  • The open beta is the first Android 14 flagship for OnePlus.
  • The software includes security, performance, design and other improvements.

As promised, OnePlus has released the first open beta of OxygenOS 14 for the OnePlus 11. The software is based on Android 14, making the OnePlus 11 one of the first phones to get Google's latest operating system.

OnePlus Please note that some new features in Android 14 may not be available immediately as this is the first open beta. However, the company promises that new features will be added in future versions of the software.

According to the changelog shared by OnePlus, the first open beta of OxygenOS 14 brings security, performance, design and more updates. Below you can read all the details of the changes.

Security and Privacy

  • Improved photo and video permission management for secure app access.

  • Improves system stability, program startup speed, and animation efficiency.

OnePlus has said that OxygenOS 14 will feature a proprietary performance suite called “Trinity Engine.” However, the changelog does not mention the same.

However, this update has some issues that you should be aware of if you plan to install it. These include:

  • After turning off airplane mode, a flight icon will appear in the status bar.
  • Turning on airplane mode in control center is not responding.
  • Flashing problem when writing notes on the shelf.
  • Black screen issue when opening the step tracking page via the health widget on the shelf.
  • The dual channel acceleration function cannot be started automatically.
  • Swiping on the icon cannot launch the app using Quick Launch.

OnePlus should be able to fix these and other software issues before releasing the stable OxygenOS 14 update.

To install OxygenOS 14 Open Beta, you must first ensure that OxygenOS 13.1 is installed on your OnePlus 11. Your phone's battery should be above 30% and there should be at least 4GB of storage available for download. OnePlus 11 carrier units are not eligible to receive the Open Beta build.
