Deathbound Trailer Reveals TechnoMedieval Soulslike For 2024
Publisher Tate Multimedia and developer Trialforge Studio have announced Deathbound , a techno-medieval shooter coming to PC via Steam in 2024. To officially introduce the action RPG project, a trailer today shows players in the dark corners of Akratya. a city in a world called Ziêminal, where life and death clash. While most of the footage is said to be "in-game", the best aspect of the gameplay seems to be in the middle of the video, where the player character can be seen using special abilities to battle grotesque bosses. Deathbound promises tough combat, a ruthless world, and action RPG like many other Soulslike games. However, Trialforge has added a few features that hopefully make it stand out from the crowd, namely the login system. As shown in the trailer, this feature allows players to absorb the essence of other warriors found in Deathbound . Their abilities and stances can be changed, giving players the freedom to approach combat as they see fit. Deathbound also features Morphstrike, attacks that combine the powers of absorbed fighters.
Deathbound is set in a crumbling civilization where the conflict between fanatical beliefs and science versus nature has destroyed the world of Zieminal and the great city of Akratia. During the crusade, players will face ruthless monsters that will test the will and courage of all who knock on their door. There is no good or bad at Ziêminal, only excuses.
Today's announcement confirms that Trialforge and Tate are collaborating on Deathbound , but it's not the first time we've seen the project in action.
