REVIEW: The Tecno Camon 20 Premier Was Exquisitely Made

The plastic frame forms a nice contrast to the back wall. It has a mirror-gloss finish (reflective coating) and is completely flat, allowing the phone to stand up on its own and feel stable in your hand, despite being a bit bulky.
We don't see much from the side, only the volume and power buttons are visible on the right side. The bottom now reveals the SIM card tray (which doesn't support microSD), as well as a USB-C port (which also serves to charge headphones), microphone, and single speaker grille. Up top, the company has gone back to normal and added a microphone (the bottom mic is the main mic) and a speaker.

The screen of the phone has improved even though it lacks Corning Gorilla Glass protection (I mean why). It features narrower bezels which gives you more room for a larger screen. Talking about the screen size, it sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120GHz refresh rate. The screen is bright, colorful and rich in contrast to an AMOLED panel. In addition, it supports HDR 10 content to deliver sharp black images.

This phone has a high brightness level, so you can use this screen even if you are outdoors in direct sunlight.
You can use your phone to adjust the temperature of the color style. However, we recommend sticking with the default settings as they suffice. It has an always-on display feature where your screen never sleeps, and you can set it to show useful info like time, battery level, and notifications (if you want/need).
A feature that stands out is that the screen has an eye protection feature - it protects your eyes from the blue light that affects your eyes when using the phone for a long time.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset (by the way, a huge upgrade over its predecessor) with superior performance, this phone offers top-of-the-line performance. After using the phone for the past few weeks, we haven't noticed any lag. Launching apps and multitasking is fast, smooth and fast - Antutu benchmark scores also show that this phone is fast. While some say the benchmark results don't paint a complete picture of performance, we have to say that when you use the Camon 20 Premier you'll really notice that it's fast and smooth.
This phone offers the best gaming with HDR graphics and ultra frame rates (maximum frame rate for other games and default medium graphics for some games running on lower graphics) which are fast and smooth and not. Don't forget to mention that the screen size is sufficient for gaming.
We owe the excellent performance to 8GB of RAM (which is practically an additional 8GB when using memory fusion technology, giving you 16GB) and 512GB of internal storage. The internal storage cannot be expanded as the phone supports microSD cards. We assume that the company will gradually phase out the use of microSD cards in its devices.
Camon 20 Premier comes with the latest Android 13 mobile operating system (under HIOS 13) and we have been informed that Camon 20 Premier (along with its predecessor, Camon 19 Premier) will be available with Android 14 release one of the first phones to receive the update.
camera
Yes, the camera is one of the highlights of this phone. The front camera in the hole-punch notch has a 32 MP sensor and takes pretty good photos and videos, even in good lighting conditions. In situations where the lighting with the flash is poor, photos are normal. Auto HDR is built into the camera by default to help you capture balanced photos and videos, and vice versa when it's off; So better leave HDR on. This camera also has an Ultra Stabilization feature that allows you to record shaking videos.
As for the rear camera, the Camon 20 Premier has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 108MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth camera. Photos are taken quite well - good skin tones and details are obtained. With the AI camera (if the AI function is enabled), color photos are enhanced with more saturation. Like the front camera, it is capable of Auto HDR and records videos stably thanks to the OIS function. You can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Unlike the rear camera, the front camera allows you to record 2K videos at 30 frames per second.
Some of the interesting features of this phone are: dual mode which allows you to record videos with the front and rear cameras simultaneously, Sky Shop which automatically replaces the sky (thanks to AI ) and Super Macro for shooting very close up.
battery
The Camon 20 Premier comes with a 5000mAh battery. If you are a light user it should last you a full day and a half, if you are a moderate user it is enough to charge it at least once a day if you are an intensive user. And to add to it, use the 45W fast charger: it took an hour and 25 minutes to charge from 0 to 100% (and we tested it ourselves).
Judge
Camon 20 Premier has a higher price. However, the price is reasonable considering that the phone has more memory, the processor is powerful, the build quality and design, screen, sound and battery life are decent, 5G availability and, to mention, the camera. improved have. One downside the company should consider is the added protection provided by Corning's Gorilla Glass. Overall, the Tecno Camon 20 Premier does very well.
