As 4k TVs become commonplace, we're starting to see 8k enter the market, especially on larger screens where a higher pixel density can make a big difference. Sure, extra pixels are expensive and 8k TVs are still pretty expensive, but luckily, many Samsung 8k TVs at Best Buy have cut their prices by 50%, from $2,000 to $1,000. So if you're in the market for an 8k TV, now is the perfect time to buy one, as deals like this are rare.

Samsung's QN series of TVs regularly tops lists for the best 8k TVs, so we're happy to report that the QN700B is good company and has some great features that make it stand out from the crowd. In addition to 8k, it also features a Neo-QLED screen, like Samsung's proprietary technology that allows each pixel to generate its own light, giving better overall contrast and color fidelity. Of course, it also includes HDR 10+, arguably one of the best HDR implementations out there. So if picture quality is very important to you, this is the perfect TV. The only real drawback here is that the TV's base refresh rate is 60Hz, so it's not suitable for gaming on the latest consoles or watching high-intensity content like sports, especially since this TV doesn't even have HLG. But if you don't care either, it's not a deal breaker.

Of course, you may have bigger problems finding 8k content, but luckily, the TV already has a processor dedicated solely to upgrading, so you can still watch older non-8k content. Keep in mind, however, that scaling is source and resolution dependent, which again isn't a big deal if you care a lot about the quality of your movie-watching experience. By the way, Samsung includes Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite, which bring 3D sound into your living room. So if you don't have separate speakers, you don't need to worry too much about sound quality.

If you're in the market for a 55-inch 8k TV but are usually disappointed by the price, Best Buy's deal on the Samsung QN700B going down from $2,000 to $1,000 is really great, especially given that it's such a good TV. However, 8k resolution tends to cost more on larger screens. So if you're looking to spend a little more, check out these 8k TV deals for something more, or these general deals for same-size TVs with 4k resolution.
