After selling out their first event last year with over 7,000 fans, Insomniac has welcomed all the feedback from fans, including subscribers who want more space to dance and enjoy the action. The new excavations at Exposition Park will provide plenty of additional space and bring the show closer to the city.

“We were looking for a place to put it downtown with a skyline theme, and we found Expo Park,” said Megan Deschenes, director of talent and festivals at Insomniac, in a recent phone interview. “We went there with the team and fell in love with the place. The presence of trees and grass makes it more comfortable for everyone. The stage construction will also be better this year because the venue is bigger. So we thought it was the perfect deal."

For Deschenes, being next door to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum felt like a return to "(Insomniac's) roots," as the company's famed Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) was held at the famed venue from 2007 to 2010 before moving to Las Vegas.
