Netflix's highly anticipated political crime thriller The Recruit is now in theaters around the world. The film will be renewed for a second season. We will have to wait and see how well the second season will reach the audience. Now Noah Centineo has been cast in the new series, playing Wayne Hendricks, a lawyer involved in a conspiracy involving the CIA.
Recently, all eight episodes were released on Netflix on December 26, 2022 . The show's texture is truly amazing: Alexey Hawley is best known for his network TV hits, including Castle, Tookie, The Next, and Body of Proof.

It's only the first weekend, so it's still too early to tell if the show will return for a second season. As you may know, Netflix does not publicly announce its criteria for renewing or canceling shows, but there is plenty of evidence to suggest which criteria help choose renewals.
If you love the show and want to renew it, the best thing to do is watch it to the end and then encourage others to do the same.
Has anyone on the cast or crew already talked about a second season? Alexi Crowley revealed that there have been talks, or at least a plan. All eight episodes were released on Netflix on December 16, 2022.

Speaking about his attitude towards the first season, Hawley said:
“I know where I want to pick up one or two things and where I want to go. I mean, of course you expect success, but as you can see in this final, I'm not going to fail because I think you have to be bold, you have to be dramatic. Everything else has to happen and you can't worry about season 2, 3 or even beyond. You have to say, "What is the best version of this story right now?" And trust that people will come to it. And then you have another chance."

To be honest, The Recruit's reviews exceeded all expectations (at least not the ones I personally had) because it attracted the same audience that made Crowley's web shows popular.
