YouTube's Top Trending Videos Of 2022 Revealed From Technoblade To MrBeast
YouTube reveals the most popular videos of 2022.
According to data calculated by social network management platform Hootsuite, YouTube has 1.7 billion unique visitors every month. The website receives a total of 14.3 billion monthly hits, more than Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and Wikipedia.
Most of these views come from the US, and data compiled by Statista shows that 62% of US users visit YouTube daily. So, at the end of 2022, it's time to find out what we watched on video streaming sites in the last 12 months.
All data in the list is based on national views of uploaded videos in 2021 and excludes short films, music videos, trailers and children's videos. Limited to one video per creator to get a broader view of what people are watching.

Perhaps most shockingly, comedian Chris Rock's infamous slap at Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars will take center stage, an incident that went unreported by The Guardian , including the FF Smith outburst that immediately followed, ranking second in the top 10 trends. . . . Videos
Other pop culture highlights on the list include Super Bowl LVI Halftime Dr. Dre joins Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent in fourth place on the list.

However, most YouTube creators have mastered the countdown. MrBeast took fifth place with his video "I Built Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory" and is the top YouTuber in the US with 118 million subscribers.
Meanwhile, the Amsen co-creator finally revealed his true self thanks to his "Hey, I Have a Dream" video. The Try Guys took ninth place with their video announcing their split with former member Ned Fulmer.
Elsewhere, Marc Rober ranked sixth in the latest benchmark-based prank call for prank callers, and special mention goes to Nichelemao, who was named the top creator of 2022 with more than 18.7 million subscribers.
Technoblade waved goodbye.
That year certainly belongs to YouTuber TechnoBlade, better known as Alexander, who died of metastatic sarcoma at the age of 23 in June of this year.
Widely remembered for his Minecraft videos and live streams, Technoblade topped the US Hot Videos chart with a clip by his father saying goodbye to fans after more than 10 years of playing together.
As of this writing, the video for "Too Tall Nerds" has been viewed 87 million times.
