Fans of the popular Minecraft Streamer Technoblade recently raised over $500,000 for cancer research in memory of the beloved content creator. On June 30, 2022, news broke of his death from cancer, but the community created by Technoblade continues to grow from strength to strength. Our fellow artists Dream and TommyInnit have also been making headlines over the past few months to raise money for cancer research.
Technoblade apparently knew his time would be short and created a short video to post on YouTube after his death. "Hi everyone. Technoblade is here. If you guys are watching this, I'm already dead, so let's sit down and talk one last time. My real name is Alex," said the announcer. "Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. If I had another 100 lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade all the time because those were the happiest years of my life. I hope you enjoy my content and create Some things I laugh at you And I wish you all a long, prosperous and happy life because I love you.

Money raised for cancer research will be donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, which aims to "advocate for sarcoma patients by funding research and raising awareness of the disease." The organization is raising funds to "fund special grants for sarcoma researchers and to conduct education and advocacy on behalf of sarcoma patients". Apparently, the group is a "very important non-profit organization" for Technoblade.
The organization wrote a few words of thanks to the broadcaster. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Technoblad. His generosity and dedication was evident when he was able to mobilize his fans and supporters to raise more than $500,000 so far for the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Looking at the many awards he has left for him online, we know he is loved by millions of fans and supporters. We were struck by her outpouring of love, support and generosity and we want to thank everyone who donated in her honor." The band added, "We will honor Technoblade, who is now known to the world as Alex. Continue to fund research on his behalf."
Creators were honored with the Sarcoma Foundation of America Courage Award on September 28, 2022. According to the group, the Courage Award is awarded annually to sarcoma survivors or sarcoma advocates through their personal efforts and actions. These people are advocates who use their platform to inspire others on behalf of sarcoma patients and survivors to create hope and a better life for the sarcoma community. The Technoblade is a shining example of a Courage Award winner.
"He will be in our hearts forever for his brave fight against sarcoma," the organization said. "If you were here I would tell anyone battling cancer to raise your head, my king."
