It may have felt like an eternity for many Samsung owners, but the One UI 5 stable version of Android 13 has finally arrived on more Samsung devices. Apparently, it only took Samsung two months to start rolling out the update after the release of Android 13. Now the company is taking a victory lap and says it wants future updates to be faster.
Samsung released a press release today to talk about the expansion of One UI 5 to its product library. In the post, the company begins by discussing the benefits of One UI 5 and below, and talks a bit about the release schedule for Galaxy S, Z, and A tablets and devices.
Here, Samsung mentions that the Z Flip and Z Fold 2 and 3 series will be updated later this year along with the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S7 FE, Tab S7 and Tab S6 Lite. The company also announced that the S20 series and Galaxy Note 20 series will start receiving the update this month. Finally, he mentioned that the Galaxy A53, A52s 5G, A33 5G and A32 smartphones will receive the One UI 5 update later this year.
In the last part of the press release, Samsung did a little reassuring work explaining that One UI 5 releases are faster and more comprehensive than previous updates. While Samsung is happy to introduce One UI 5, the company says it wants to go faster next time.
Samsung says it will "continue to strengthen our partnership with Google and actively listen to user feedback to keep One UI faster and more perfect" to achieve its goal of earning this latest update.
Since the stable release of One UI 5 started rolling out in October, the update has reached many devices including the Galaxy S22, Fold 4 and Flip 4 series, S21 and Tab S8. You can see the One UI 5 release roadmap here.
