IOS 16.2 Adds New Watchlist Sorting Options For Stocks
The upcoming Apple iOS 16.2 beta is now in the hands of the developers and people involved in the official beta program, and new features are coming all the time.
Now, a new report says that Apple has added a new sorting option to its default apps and widgets.
9to5Mac reports that the Stock app on iPhone and iPad now provides different sorting options for different watchlists, and changes made to those apps are reflected in home screen widgets. Sorting options include manual sort, price change, percentage change, market cap, ticker and name.
Each watchlist can also be configured to quickly display stock price changes, percentage changes, or market values. This change gives you the more precise ability to sort each list based on the data points you select, rather than selecting one option that applies to all of your lists.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously noted that iOS 16.2 will be publicly available in mid-December, although the beta testing process is subject to change.
We're currently testing the second beta, but there may be more before Apple sees iOS 16.2 ready to go public.
