The First Redmi Tablet Launches In India! Redmi Pad Price Is A SHOCKER
The Redmi Pad Tablet was launched in India with a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the base variant. Here are all the details.
Earlier this year we saw a tablet from the Xiaomi brand and now it's time for a Redmi tablet. obviously would have happened. With a growing influx of affordable Android tablets from brands like Motorola, Oppo and Realme, Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand is launching its first tablet in India; Redmi panel. It is aimed at those looking for a cheap tablet in India while having decent specs. Indeed, the Redmi Pad could shock the affordable tablet industry in India with all its features.
Before we talk about the specs, here are the prices. The Redmi Pad is available in the basic 3GB + 64GB variant and is priced at Rs 12,999. There is another variant of the 4GB + 128GB combination priced at Rs. 14,999. The higher variant of the 6GB + 128GB combo costs Rs 16,999. The tablet is available in Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green colors and will be on sale from 5 October.
Redmi Pad is incredibly affordable, but it doesn't compromise on technical features. It is much better equipped than Android tablets under Rs 20,000. The Redmi panel has a metal unibody design and weighs 465 grams. The tablet has a 10.6-inch display with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The tablet features Widevine L1 certification for better performance with OTT applications.
Accompanying this display is a set of four speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Users get a 2 month free YouTube Premium membership with Redmi Pad.
Below the screen is the MediaTek Helio G99 chip, the new entry-level 4G chip that powers some of the new smartphones. With the MIUI 13 based on Android 12, Redmi promises two updates to the Android operating system and three years of security fixes. You can expand the storage up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 both provide wireless connectivity.
You also have an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The front camera is equipped with FocusFrame, which allows you to focus on the subject while in motion. Finally, all of this is powered by an 8,000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging.
