New Leaks Reveal OPPO Reno9 Design And Specifications
If you were looking for a mid-range OPPO device but decided to skip the two Reno models for 2022 (for some reason), we have good news for you. Based on some recent leaks, it looks like the BBK-owned company is set to introduce the Reno9, the third and likely final iteration of this year's popular mid -range lineup .
GSMArena reports that the phone and its packaging have appeared in live photos, with the first apparently taken in the wild not too long ago. Based on these images, originally posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, the new Reno9 (or its variant) features a hole-punch display cutout, along with a more conventional camera island layout, though the camera retains the same alignment as its predecessor . However, the island also looks much flatter for this model.
As for the specifications, Leakster Digital Chat Station reports that the Reno9 will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 778G chipset is believed to be paired with 12GB of RAM, though the amount of internal storage is still unknown.
The techie added a 4500mAh battery to the phone with support for 67W fast charging, which is actually a downgrade if true as the Reno8 comes with 67W fast charging. says that the Reno9 has a 64 MP main camera on top. back, while the hole in the screen will house a 32MP selfie camera. The other sensors that make up the rest of the phone's triple camera setup are currently unknown.

Meanwhile, separate rumors claim that the Reno9 will come in three variants: standard, Pro, and Pro+ models. In that sense, the latest model will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chip and will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 for the main camera.
The same report indicates that OPPO will launch the Pro and Pro+ models in China next month, while the standard variant will launch later. As always, there is no guarantee that any unofficial information about the Reno9 is accurate or not, until confirmed by the company itself.
