Pangyo, South Korea, Oct. 20, 2023 /EINPresswire/ -- On October 12, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office presented a grand "Startup Vision Statement" at the 2nd Coexistence Agreement event at Pangyo Global Business Center. In the year 2026, Pangyu Techno Valley and around 20 surrounding areas plan to develop 710,000 square meters of entrepreneurial space and lead 3,000 startups.By the year 2025, Jeonggi wants to develop a business center focused on the private sector, covering an area of 500,000 square meters in Pangyo 2. This provides free or subsidized workplaces to more than 2,000 new startups. Pangyo currently hosts 2,300 innovative startups for the 300 companies benefiting from Pangyo's Techno Valley.
Pangyo is a well-known startup hub in South Korea, with facilities from leading accelerators such as Startup Campus, Corporate Support Center and Seongnam Global Convergence Center. Launched in 2016, Sampyeong-dong Startup Park is a vast infrastructure of 180,000 square meters, financed with 169,800 million. It offers startups a wide range of services, from investor relations events and mentoring to marketing support and a gateway to international markets.
The startup campus is home to many important organizations, such as the Global Digital Innovation Network, the Software Testing and Certification Support Center, and the Gyeonggi Province Foundation. These entities support startups' efforts to enter international markets and find distribution channels.
Through the "K-Startup Grand Challenge Program", which has been running since 2016, local and international entrepreneurs will receive unprecedented support, increase competitiveness and attract investment to Korea.
"Pangyo Business Support Center" was established in the 2nd Technology Valley in 2021 and has become a strong platform for startup promotion and business-to-business communication. The center provides startups with valuable resources, from workspace and mentorship to advanced networking and software.
The newly opened Seongnam Global Convergence Center (2022) is a milestone for IT companies, manufacturers and research institutions. With an investment of 97,000 million, the facility covers an area of 400,000 square meters and has 11 floors. It covers a variety of programs, from technology seminars to development aid initiatives.
In the future, the Government of Gyeonggi Province has a vision to promote startups through acceleration programs and increase cooperation and communication opportunities with existing companies. Various investment-oriented events, exhibitions and international business forums are underway.
With unparalleled infrastructure and a supportive ecosystem, Gyeonggi-do is poised to become South Korea's next startup hub.
