  • CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, will hold its first event on September 26, 2023.
  • Previous leaks indicated that the package would include a smartwatch, headphones, and a USB-C charger.
  • This was announced by the Vice President of Nothing India, clarifying that this launch can only take place in India.

In early August, Carl Pei announced that Nothing would be launching a sub-brand called CMF by Nothing. Unlike Nothing, this sub-brand is focused on affordability, so don't expect it to release a flagship device like the Nothing Phone 2. We now know that the sub-brand will launch its first product later this month.

Manu Sharma, Vice President and Managing Director, Nothing Announced India, who made the announcement, hinted that the expo will be held in India and that the products announced may be exclusive to the region.

While Sharma hasn't revealed what the core material will be, we already have a good idea of what will be revealed. A major leak in late August gave us promotional posters for three CMF products: the Watch Pro, Buds Pro, and the 65W GAN Charger.

Specifically, the Watch Pro will be Nothing's first smartwatch. According to the leak, the Watch Pro has rounded edges like the Apple Watch, an aluminum alloy body and an orange band. Another leak suggests that the display could be a 1.96-inch AMOLED with Always-On Display (AOD) support, 600 nits of brightness and a 50Hz refresh rate. Other leaked specs include internal GPS with Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 water resistance. and dust resistance, a 330 mAh battery and a variety of health sensors. The good news is that the Watch Pro doesn't run Wear OS.

We estimate that these devices will cost Rs 4,500, Rs 3,500 and Rs 3,000 for the Watch Pro, Buds Pro and charger respectively. Converted USD values are $55 (Watch Pro), $43 (Buds Pro) and $37 (Charger).
