How To Install Minecraft Mods

Minecraft users don't like being told what they can and can't create in a virtual sandbox. Conquest is currently the best selling game of all time and is not expected to go away anytime soon. It's as funny as it is addictive, and with Minecraft's multiplayer gameplay and the ability to create your own Minecraft server, it's a great game to play with friends.

Fortunately, the philanthropic Minecraft community has produced a number of mods since the game's release in 2009, albeit with increasingly complex Lego-esque pieces. And with a host of custom mod launchers, getting started has never been easier.

Here's our guide to installing Minecraft mods for any platform - whether it's a full upgrade on PC or a simple add-on pack for console players, we'll show you how.

[ Author's Note: This is an overview of installing Minecraft mods, not a complete guide. Installation may vary from one mod to another. So, be sure to follow the download and installation instructions, which are usually available online along with the download options.]

Install Minecraft mods on Windows

There are many ways to run mods in Minecraft , but the easiest and most popular method requires an app called Forge. Here's how it works:

Step 1 Visit the official Forge website and download the recommended software version. You can also install the latest version of Forge, but this may contain unresolved bugs that affect the ability to run some mods correctly.

Step 2: Download the mods you want to install from a trusted source. CurseForge is a popular site with hundreds of great mods. However, not all mods are compatible with all versions of Minecraft or Forge. Be sure to check the unit you want to see if it is compatible with your software.

Step 3: Create a "mods" folder in your minecraft directory . This is the destination address:

C:Users[your name]AppDataRoaming.minecraft

If the AppData folder is not visible in File Explorer, click Show at the top of the app and turn on Hidden items .

If this is your first mod, there is no "mods" folder in your minecraft folder . With the minecraft folder open, right-click in File Explorer and select New from the context menu after the . Folder name "Mods".

Step 4 : Move the downloaded mod to the mods folder.

Step 5: Launch Minecraft , but first make sure your Forge account is active. Otherwise, your modules will not load properly.

no more! As mentioned, there are many other runners besides Forge like LiteLoader, so feel free to look around if you don't like everything it has to offer. However, for some reason, usually the most popular and new mods are compatible with the program.

Install Minecraft mods on Mac

Mac users can follow steps 1 and 2 of the instructions above, but for step 3, these instructions must be followed.

Then right-click on the folder, select "New Folder " from the context menu and name it "Modify".

Mac users can now refer to steps 4 and 5 under the instructions above.

Step 1: Go to BlockLauncher and install the popular and useful application which is widely used to install mods.

Step 2: Follow the in-app instructions as Block Launcher offers different instructions depending on the device you are using.

Step 3 : Go back to the Google Play Store and download Mods for Minecraft PE. With this app, you can download and install your mods quickly and efficiently.

Step 4 : Access the search function and use it to search for the mod you want to download.

Step 5 Once you've found the perfect pose for you, click Install . This will automatically install the mod into your chosen game.
