Redmi Note 12R Is The First Phone To Launch With Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC: See Price, Specifications
The Redmi Note 12R was launched in China on Wednesday. The phone is the first phone to be powered by the recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery and comes in four storage configurations and three color variants. The phone was recently spotted on China Telecom's website. The professional version of the model, the Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G, based on the octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, was released earlier this May.

The base 4GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi Note 12R is priced at 999 yuan (approx. Rs. 11,300), while the 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at 1,099 yuan (approx. Rs. 12,400). The slightly larger 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at 1,499 yuan (roughly Rs. 17,000), while the high-end 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at 1,699 yuan (roughly Rs. 19,200). According to China Telecom's listing, the model will go on sale in China from June 30.
Redmi Note 12R is available in three color variants: Midnight Black, Sky Fantasy and Time Blue.

The Redmi Note 12R sports a 6.79-inch Full HD+ (2400 X 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 550 nits. The Nano SIM dual SIM smartphone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
It is the world's first smartphone powered by a 4-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The chipset is coupled with Adreno GPU and has up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 12R's dual rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the top of the screen is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The Redmi Note 12R has a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The phone has an IP53 dust and water resistance rating and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for security. The phone weighs 199 grams and measures 168.6 x 76.28 x 8.17 mm.
