Vivo X Fold 2 Specs All But Confirmed As Launch Draws Near
Vivo is expected to announce the X Fold 2 sooner rather than later, and as the uncertain date approaches, more information starts to leak. This time around, the leak appears to have come in the form of a slide that is commonly used to inform retailers about the features and benefits of these phones.
With that in mind, Vivo seems to be struggling to stick to some of the big numbers and fancy words used to describe it. As if a notch-in-the-middle mobile phone isn't enough, Vivo will put the best specs into it.
These features are taken from leaked slides posted on the Chinese social network Weibo. This leak was discovered by GSM Arena and SeekAdvice.
Looking at the reality show, we can expect the Vivo X Fold 2 to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset inside and pair it with ultra-fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This should ensure that buyers don't have to wait for the app to download, though there's no word on exactly how much RAM or storage space it will offer.
It is also known that the protective screen will have a diagonal of 6.53 inches, a resolution of 1080p, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 1600 nits.
Moving inward, the foldable screen will measure 8.03 inches and will once again support a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of resolution, buyers can expect 2160 x 1916 and up to 1800 nits of brightness.
Other tidbits include mention of Wi-Fi 7 support and a 4800 mAh battery. This battery will charge at 120W when using the cable, and 50W wireless charging will be available for those who are sensitive to network connections.
As for the announcement of Vivo X Fold 2, we expect it to launch in April 2023, which means, thankfully, we won't have to wait long.
