Tecno Camon 20 Pro 4G Tipped To Feature MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, 6.67Inch AMOLED Display; Could Launch In May
Tecno is reportedly planning to expand its Camon series of smartphones with the Camon 20 Pro 4G. The smartphone is expected to be launched when a reliable whistleblower reveals the phone's release schedule and key specifications. The phone may be powered by a MediaTek chipset and may come with a triple rear camera setup. The phone is expected to succeed the Tecno Camon 19 Pro which was launched in June last year. Tecno Camon 19 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC and is paired with 8GB of RAM.
Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) shared the Camon 20 Pro 4G's key specs and global release time. The smartphone is expected to hit the global market in May 2023. The phone is expected to launch in India later, but no timetable has been indicated. Expected to come in Serenity Blue and Pradon Black colors, the phone is said to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone may also have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone is expected to come with a triple rear camera consisting of a 64-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. The phone is expected to have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It is likely to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The phone also runs stock Android 13 and is said to support 33W fast charging.
Renderings of the phone's design were leaked earlier, suggesting a center-facing punch-hole cutout at the top of the display. Reports suggest that the phone could be backed by a 5000mAh battery, up to 8GB of RAM with 8GB of virtual RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The laptop's predecessor, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro, has a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood of the phone is a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. The Tecno Camon 19 Pro has a triple rear camera led by a 64-megapixel sensor. The front has a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The smartphone has a 5000 mAh battery with 33W flash charging technology.
