Tecno Pova 5G Launch Set For February 8: All You Need To Know
Tecno will launch its first 5G smartphone called Tecno Pova 5G in India on February 8. This is the company's first 5G smartphone launched in India.
The company's official Twitter account announced that the Tecno Pova 5G will be launched on February 8. No time to run a Twitter event.
The Tecno Pova 5G was launched in Nigeria at a price of NGN 129,000 (Rs 23,000 approx) for the single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The CEO of Tecno India's parent company, Transition India, has hinted at the price of the Tecno Pova 5G by the end of 2021. According to the general director, the price of a smartphone in the country will be around 18-20 thousand rubles.
The Tecno Pova 5G in Nigeria features a 6.95-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UV 3.1 storage.
Additionally, Tecno claims that the Pova 5G will come to the Indian market with Memory Fusion technology, which is designed to increase the amount of RAM up to a maximum of 11GB.
It remains to be seen whether Tecno will offer additional storage options in India or stick with the 128GB storage configuration with 8GB RAM.
The Tecno Pova 5G smartphone has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP secondary sensor and an AI lens. Tecno Pova 5G is also equipped with a 16MP front camera for selfies with dual LED flash on the front.
The smartphone is powered by a 6000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The device will run HiOS 8.0 based on Android 11 and will have a fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button on the side.
The smartphone will be available in Polar Silver, Dazzle Black and Power Blue colors.
