Nicole Moudaber is best known for her percussive, hypnotic and intoxicating voice, which she brings to dance floors around the world. Born in Ibadan, Nigeria to a Lebanese family, Moudaber spent his childhood in Lagos before moving to Beirut as a teenager. The producer says it was difficult for him growing up in a patriarchal society, but he "doesn't take chances in the Middle East". However, Mudaber's freedom was threatened when he threw a party and was sentenced to prison.
In the late 90s, after the Lebanon war, he organized a Halloween party. Many attendees came from the LGBTQI+ community and sparked controversy five months after the party when a major magazine ran a cover story claiming Moudaber was spreading "homosexuality and perversion" in Beirut.
He was then called to the police and admitted to having organized the party well. The officer said he must be held until a judge signs a release order. The judge didn't sign the arrest warrant in time and he spent eight hours in jail until his sister, who is a lawyer, was able to release him.
"I've kept the story a secret all these years," says Moudaber. "My parents never knew. Nobody knew.”
"It wasn't an easy course for me," he adds. "I feel ready, now I have the right to talk about it."
The presenter shows that she has every right to discuss it now, especially given the massive platform that has brought her impressive success. He creates hit singles, performs at major festivals around the world, runs MOOD Records and the award-winning weekly radio show In The MOOD.

Mudaber finds inspiration in architecture, a sunny day, a morning "coffee with Joynes", a chat with a friend, anything he finds beautiful. "The simple things in life ... that's the beauty, the things that make you happy," he says. Her perfect day starts when she wakes up with a smile, which she thinks is strange because she's usually tired from traveling around the world.
When they're not making techno meant to rule the dance floor, the production company says they're listening to chill music or local radio in a Latin American country or Spain.
"My life is so loud," she says. “I'm in the studio on weekends [and] clubs and festivals. Everything is so loud and sometimes I just need to give my ears a break. She adds that she often listens to astrology and spiritual podcasts to relax.
Moudaber also has a penchant for racing cars. He started racing six years ago when his friend, a Formula 1 test driver and two-time European GT Champion, suggested he try racing because he knew he loved cars and needed speed. He was immediately hooked and applied for a professional driver’s license in 2016. He's since tested the cars in the UK, Barbados and Lisbon, Portugal, and the fastest he's ever driven is 165mph. Another of his passions are boats, with which he enjoys spending a day on a boat in Ibiza and the Caribbean. Moudaber, who grew up on the Mediterranean coast, says he loves the sea.
As for what to expect, Moudaber says he intends to write a book.
"I'm going to talk about my journey to who I am today," she says. "Like growing up in a patriarchal society, how hard everything was for me because I'm a woman, everyone said no you can't do that, no you can't do that. not for women." It wasn't easy for a woman like me to celebrate and challenge all traditional customs and cultures. I did it anyway.
