The Redmi K60 series, which includes the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E, has been confirmed for December in China. The launch date was recently leaked by a whistleblower but has now been confirmed by the Chinese company. Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi K60 series will launch on December 27 in China. Details about what to expect from the series have also been revealed ahead of its launch, dropping hints of what to expect. A number of Weibo leaks have also listed the expected specifications of the line, indicating that the Redmi K60 Pro may be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to the Redmi China website, the Redmi K60 series will be launched on December 27 at the New Year conference in China. The website revealed that the unveiling of the phone is scheduled for 7:00 pm local time (4:30 pm IST) and will give interested customers an option to pre-order the phone. Redmi CEO Lu Weibing announced the launch date of the K60 series on Thursday. The phone went on sale from December 31.

Meanwhile, it seems that the specifications of the upcoming Redmi K60 series have surfaced on Chinese social networking site Weibo. Tipster Mukesh Sharma (@materialslists) found the leak and tweeted the details. As per the leak, the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E could be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipsets.

The leak also revealed that all three phones will pack a 5,500 mAh battery, with the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60E supporting 67W fast charging, while the Redmi K60 Pro is expected to support 120W fast charging.

The Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro are also expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, led by a 64MP main sensor with OIS support.

As per previous reports, the vanilla Redmi K60 is expected to sport a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is said to have an 8-inch ultrawide sensor in addition to the main 64MP sensor. megapixel and 2 megapixel macro lens.
