Vivo Is Rolling Out Stable Android 13 To Its Flagship Phone, A Day After Samsung
Funtouch OS 13 is here on Vivo X80 Pro, more phones are on the way.
Vivo may not have the brand recognition that OnePlus and Oppo enjoy, but Vivo is equally part of the BBK Electronics group and offers good value for money. A day after Samsung rolled out Android 13 One UI 5 to its phones, its new flagship Vivo X80 Pro is the first to receive the Android 13 stable update.
Vivo calls Android 13 Funtouch OS 13 version. It obviously shares the same resources as OnePlus's Oxygen OS and Oppo's Color OS, and you can enjoy some of the key Android 13 features you love. First of all, Vivo now lets you use themed icons and added more material improvements to the overall interface, although the company enabled this theme option in Android 12. The camera has seen some improvements in the form of a new phase meter and expanded video capabilities. There's a new option to close battery-draining apps in the background.
Apart from the Vivo X80 Pro, the company plans to bring the update to other devices soon. Vivo has shared a roadmap showing when you can expect the beta program to roll out to your devices. This gives us an idea of when other phones will get the new version as it took a month and a half for the Vivo X80 Pro to go from beta to stable.
Meanwhile, the launch of the X80 Pro is currently underway and has yet to reach our rooms. It may take some time to reach your device.
