An offshoot of the famous gypsy group Taraf de Haidouks, Taraf de Caliu is the latest generation of traditional Romanian musicians known as Latari. South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas said the WOMADelaide 2023 series offers the talent and diversity to draw audiences to this iconic event.
"As WOMADelaide prepares for its return as a truly global festival, Adelaide Botanic Gardens/Tainmuntilla will host an incredible four days of acts and genres from around the world and local area," said Premier Malinauskas.
"Events like WOMADelaide are a cornerstone of the South Australian economy and provide a vital boost to hotels, restaurants, bars and retailers across the city and beyond."
