Late Minecraft Streamer Technoblade Receives His Own Statue
The Hypixel Network is unveiling a statue honoring Technoblade, who was instrumental in the success of the Minecraft server in its early years.
Hypixel Network has added a fire statue of Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade to their main portal in celebration of their channel's 9th anniversary. Technoblade first joined the Hypixel Minecraft server in 2013 and began uploading videos of himself playing the Blitz Survival Games minigame to YouTube, quickly becoming one of their top players and building a fan following on the platform.
On July 1, 2022, a video titled "Longtime Nerds" was uploaded to Technoblade's channel, in which Technoblade's father revealed that his son had died after a year-long battle with sarcoma. Tributes poured in from the Minecraft community, culminating in the Technoblade being briefly added to the Minecraft title screen itself. Within days of uploading the video, and with the blessing of the Technoblade family, the Hypixel Network began collecting tributes from players and creating a condolence book, which is now in print.
Now that the book is in physical production, the area in Hypixel's lobby where players can initially pay their respects has changed a second time, with a statue of Technoblade's famous Minecraft skin now standing over his grave; famous slogan "Technoblade never dies".
